Refund & Replacement Policy

We only entertain requests for replacement, return or refund only if the request is raised within 2 calendar days of receiving the product and the product you received is defective. The customers can also raise the request for return or refund even before the product is delivered. In other words, we SHALL NOT entertain any requests for replacement, return or refund after 2 calendar days from the date of delivery of the product. While receiving your order make sure you create the video of opening the courier and product should be clearly visible in the video.

Before making any request for replacement or return kindly note that we shall process the request for replacement or return only under following circumstances:

  1. If the supplied product has a manufacturing defect.

  2. The product supplied must not have been used or worn out.

  3. The customer must return it in the same original packing in which it was received. Needless to mention that the original packing must not have been broken or soiled.

  4. The customer must supply the proof of purchase or receipt of the product.

  5. Products under warranty (if eligible).

Nevertheless, the customers shall not be eligible for return or replacement/ exchange under following circumstances:

  1. Items that are specified as “non-refundable” will not be returned/refunded at any cost.

  2. The product must be non-consumable in nature, i.e., any item which is consumable in nature like incense sticks, turmeric etc. can neither be replaced nor returned/exchanged under any circumstance,

  3. Bulky items which come have more than 1 Kg shipping rates either weight or volumetric whichever is higher.

  4. Customized boxes and items.

Process of Returns, Refunds and Replacement:

  1. At the time of making a request for refund, the customer shall share the following things -
    a. Unboxing video of the product after receiving it.
    b. Photo of the shipping label
    c. Image of the product (in case if it's broken/defective)

  2. Transportation cost for return shall be borne by the customer.

  3. The customer shall pack the product with due care. In case the product received at the premises of the vendor is damaged or worn out, the customer shall not be eligible for refund.

  4. Once the returned item is received and inspected, we shall notify the customer through email that we have received your returned item(s). We shall also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund through email.

  5. In case of electronic payment through any mode, once your return request is approved, we shall process the refund electronically. A credit will automatically be applied to your method of payment, within 7-21 business days (check with your bank)

  6. In case of CoD mode of payment, we shall issue you store credit for the amount that can be redeemed while shopping at our website or we shall do the wire transfer to the bank account of the customer.

  7. To summarize the process of refunds, firstly, upon receiving the product for return, within 7 business days, we shall intimate the customer regarding acceptance or denial of the refund request. Once the request has been approved, the refund process shall be initiated and will complete within the next 15 days. In simple words, the entire refund process shall complete within 21 days from the date of receiving the product at the premises of The Family Closet

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products & Lingerie). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gasses. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
